Well I've bought it legit now. It's fun.

And there's a 2-player coop for the main campaign which sounds like awesome fun =)

download is slow and mahoosive.

Well. The retail CD is like 6.8 gigs and the steam download is like 2.6 gigs...

Go into your options, there's a new panel, change your download location to UK. Mine was on Seattle or something by default.

To note. I was getting about 350 KB originally which jumped to 850 KB once I changed it.

To add. RTS coop? Pretty interesting idea. But this games more like a RTT. No base buildings, it's all about unit control, placement and usage.

Which makes it more fun really if you ask me, no more spamming shit out, everything has it's worth, each squad you have is valueable, unlike DoW1 where (as an ork player) once I got to a certain stage, it was time to suicide those Slugga Boyz so I can get me pop cap back.

Two player coop is using the space marines. You basically get 5 squads, but you can only use 4 of them (I think you get an extra later in the game), so two people control two squads each and on higher levels it IS difficult and does become hard to micro alone as a single player.

But you get wargear and levels. Unit loadout and leveling up is mega important, probably as important as doing the mission itself. Frag grenades or remote denation chargers for the level? Do you wanna make your space marine squad into a melee unit or ranged unit? etc

Chaos will be in an expansion and you know it =)

Should have this soon am rather looking forward to it ;0) Does look an interesting departure from the usual RTS formula.

It uses both Steam and Windows Live (AGH) so I'd imagine you can log into your Xbox windows live account to play.

Single player coop should be fun, but the 3v3 ranked or public battles will be the big stuff!

It's kinda nice, less unit spam so that you can focus on what troops you have, rather than knocking out a shitload of assault termies.

Dunno if anything is OP yet. Played one match last night whilst pissed, 3v3 and me "boyz was smashin' dem humies gud n' propa"

Held off nicely for a while with a couple of slugga squads until I realised I had a shit ton of resources and knocked out 2 deff dreads. It was victory point though (mostly is) and the SM couldn't shift me boyz from the lower left.

Dunno, was fun and I thought I was gonna lose.

Oh yeah and Tyranids are pretty interesting. I've had a play with them, but don't like the feel of them (but I only tried a few compstomps to check 'em out), also my loyalty to th' boyz stops me from using any other race properly.

I should probably play them again, but because they're a new race it's hard for me to understand (right now) how the units should be used, where as I'm fine with the orcs.

Yeah it has Xbox live achievements so it'll all add to my Xbox gamer score. Rock!

What are those gamer points used for? Or is it just a e-penis thing?

Yeah they're used for shaming your friends for not being as big a nerd as you, and for proving how big a nerd you actually are.

Oh. Thought they may be a loyalty style device that lets people who buy lots of shit (and thus play a lot) get some shit for free occasionally.
