Description
Physically, Mobius isn't exactly out of shape, but he isn't in shape either. He's naturally very weak, sometimes being unable to do things that others would be able to do somewhat easily. He's average height and average weight, nothing extraordinary. He has snow white hair which is unkept and covers his eyes somewhat and dark brown eyes which from a distance, you'd think were black. He usually has a far away look in his eyes, as if he's deep in thought. Often giving the impression that he's thinking about something difficult.

Mobius always wears a cloak, unless weather and temperature prevents it, in which case he wears a blue vest and shirt with purple linings and decorations. The cloak is a plain brown, and somewhat worn. It has a hood, which Mobius likes to put on.

A distinct feature of Mobius is how he moves. Mobius moves very gracefully and silently. He doesn't make his presence known either, and prefers it that way. A lot of the time he could be standing right beside you and you wouldn't notice it. Athough he does have his moments where he is especially clumsy.

He has a unique way of handling and doing things. He holds objects very carefully and delicately, as if afraid they'd break if he exerted any force. Nothing, or next to nothing of what he does is very bold, but rather subtle, unless he intends to be bold and intimidating, but he doesn't usually have much success at that.

Background:
Mobius was an orphan for as long as he could remember. No one really knows what happened to his parents, they just went away and never returned. They had a small fortune and house which Mobius inherited and lived his everyday life with. He also did various odd jobs around his village to earn some extra money on the side, but never anything permanent.

Mobius spent most of his childhood studying. Not because he enjoyed it, but because that was the only thing he really knew what to do with his life. While all of the other children were out playing and not giving a care about the future, he was inside trying to figure what he was going to do in the future.

Mobius desperately wanted to have some meaning in his life, some reason for his purpose. You see, Mobius feared death, he wondered that if he was going to die one day, what was the point of living? His existence will be forgotten one day, engulfed in the sands of time. So he studied and studied, eventually taking up wizardry and learning to control the forces of the multiverse, hoping that one day, he will find the "truth" he seeks.

One day, and man came to his door step, he wasn't exactly old, but he had that look that told you he had seen and experienced much in the world. He told Mobius he was an adventurer. He didn't seem all that dangerous or evil, so Mobius trusted his instincts and let him in. At they were both silent, staring out the window at the sunset plains. Curious, Mobius asked him about himself, who he was, where he's been, and the like.

He told Mobius many stories of victory, defeat, riches, loss, glory, happiness, tears, and various near death experiences. This man had been through a lot, and yet Mobius had never heard his name before. So he asked him, "What if you had died one of those days? Your story would have ended." To that the man replied that if he had died one of those many days ago, he would have no regrets, since he had lived his life to the fullest, death was meaningless to him. He was grateful for all the time he has had and doesn't ask for anymore.

With those last few words, he closed his eyes, and died. Mobius was filled with shock, confusion, and fear. A man had just died in his home. But what was really on his mind was his innability to comprehend how that man could have been so happy with his life. He has had a hard life, no doubt about that, but now at the time of his death, the only person who knows of his end didn't even know his name.

Mobius dug a grave for the man outside his home. He placed a rock there as a tombstone (or rather had someone else do it for him). He felt he should write something upon to the tombstone as homage to the man, but try as he might, he could not think of something worthy enough. You see, Mobius had grown quite fond of him in the extremely short time he's known him. He had what Mobius had always wanted, peace and satisfaction at life.

Finally, Mobius decided that he too would set out on an adventure to seek what the man had. He obviously wasn't going to find it reading books all day. And when the day came when he would return from his adventure with his new-found knowledge and wisdom...he would finally write his thoughts on that nameless man's tombstone, and finally be at peace.

Personality and Traits:
Mobius is a quiet individual around strangers, or even people he knows for that matter. He prefers to stay on the sidelines and listen than interject his own thoughts into the conversation. It's usually very hard to tell what he's thinking, although he does open up a bit to people he has grown fond of or respects.

Mobius locks up his emotions a lot, and quite often masks his true purpose and intents. But as usual, he'll confide everything truthfully to those he considers his friends. He doesn't completely trust anyone he meets, at least not at first. There are only a handful of people in the world that he actually does trust, even if he may say otherwise.

Although Mobius may lie and appear cold to others at times, he genuinely wishes for the well-being of others, unless they are a heartless monster in his eyes, then he doesn't care too much about their lives. Although he doesn't necessarily death or misery upon on them either.

Idiotic, greedy, and selfish people irritate Mobius, even if he may not say so. He doesn't enjoy the presence of anyone who is less than intelligent. He tries to accept people for who they are, and does, but he cannot force himself to like them. He often criticizes himself on this, among other things. He tries to learn about his flaws to improve on them, bettering himself as a person.

Purity and innocence and very important to Mobius. As are nature and life's simple pleasures. He has a general dislike for materialistic people, whores and prostitutes. Although he may dislike these people, he realizes that his opinion isn't automatically the right one, and everyone has the right to live how they want to, so he leaves them in peace.

Mobius is not materialistic at all, often having difficulty thinking of how to spend the money he has. He usually just ends up giving it to someone else, he figures it'd make them happier than it'd make him.

He's actually quite weak, and thus avoids situations where he has to use physical strength.

Dalelands - Mobius Rihvers Concept

(( The picture is more of a concept than anything. He looks quite young. The main thing that I liked about this pic was his face. Seems to match what I imagined Mobius as quite well. Ignore the duck. ))
