Sorscha of the Far Hills

Character Sketch

An attempt at a sane cleric of Bane, if such a thing is possible.

The character grew up in war torn lands near the Far Hills and Dark Hold after the time of troubles. She learnt to survive on her own after her village was destroyed and she was taken in by the church of Bane who had brought law and order to a war torn country.

She views the church as a force of good, being a guardian of the people (although only the faithful) and bringing order and security to troubled parts. She'll willingly try to convert followers to the cause of Bane through good deeds, whilst reserving violence only for enemies of the church.

Description

Sorscha would be attractive if not for a grim look to her features. Faint traces of scars criss-cross her fair features betraying a life of hardship, perhaps not too unfamiliar to many in the Realms. Her long red hair is often hidden beneath her helmet although she occasionally lets it fall down her back, lending her features a softer look. Her clothes comprise flowing black cotton trousers and shirt over which a suit of chainmail sits.

A quiver of arrows sits on her back along with a longbow and shield. The sword at her side is cruelly curved with hooked barbs on the inward side. Though not immediately visible except to the most eagle eyed, an onyx token hangs around her neck on a silver chain with a black hand enscribed thereon, inside a red shield.

Automatic SHEILD proficiency, is it Zert? Is that like a SHIELD proficiency, ha haa haaa =)

More importantly. Made a little edit to your sheet (HPs) and I count that you have 24 skill points to spend, so you get another 2, woot!. You're actually over the 250 GP budget, but, since no one ACTUALLY pays for arrows, you're like 1 GP under in practice =)

Not that I counted the cash very hard, so I could be wrong..

Otherwise, looks good man! I'd suggest, if you're going for some melee ability here and there, a little higher STR, but then that can always be fixed up nicely with attribute bonuses (there's one next level), so may not be a problem at all. Also, clerics are pretty good at buffing there stats if need be =)

Yeah I kept getting different results every time I totted up my skill points! Been a while since I did this.

Yeah the idea is that she's kind of had to get involved in melee and military matters as a matter of survival even though she's not really built for it, thus the lower str. But yeah, I'll likely build it up, I guess you could argue a life of combat would have let her build her str.

And what's a few GP amongst friends ;0)

Depends if there's magic boots at stake too =)

Remember to pick your second clerical domain too. Also, to note, you have no healing spells memorised, which may well be intentional, but remember that evil clerics cannot convert prepared spells to cure, only to inflict.

Oh and ([2+1+1*4]+4*2) is your skill points. ([Cleric+INT+Human*1st]+2nd+3rd)

I have a 0 and 1st level cure memorised + a 2nd level inflict. I guess it'd make more sense to have all cures memorised then convert to harm when I need to.

Cool I'll re-jig the skill points.

Have swapped Quicken Spell for Self Sufficient feat if that's cool - I've not used Quicken Spell yet and I just realised I won't be able to for a while as it takes up a spell slot four levels higher if you quicken a spell.

Given that I can't even cast 3rd level spells yet, seems slightly redundant!
