D&D - Eastern Heartlands - Game Logs

The first session was a solo for Johan Wyvernspur. Introducing him to the world a little and the war in Cormyr and taking him up north in to the frozen wastes.

The second session was a continuation of the solo sesson for Johan Wyvernspur. Settling him in a small town and preparing him for the beginning of the actual campaign.

The third session was the start of the actual campaign where all three PCs would meet. It took place within the Farsea Marshes in northern Cormyr during the winter (Mirtul).

It was a little slow to start, but eventually got to where it was supposed to be (and I think we all know what first sessions are like anyway).

Most of the session was based around the PCs meeting up in the swamp and realising it was probably best if they stuck together, thus getting the group together in a way that didn't involve an inn and evil wizard.

Towards the end of the session the group bumped in to several hostiles in the night, the battle was very swift and very deciding.

DM Illumination again did the honours.

The PCs leave the marshes together and encounter a small group of travellers on the road. In the middle of the night Gnolls attack, Fahad is very seriously wounded and Kajna is kidnapped by a cloaked man on a Wyvern.

They manage to get Fahad to town and save his life, but decide trying to help poor Kajna is too dangerous.

A messenger arrives in town and announces that Johan has been made commander of the Corymrean forces in Scardale, to which he reacts badly. Regardless, they set off together to make the journey, along the way however they spot a wounded giant!

A violent and brutal battle proceeds and the giant is defeated without too much injury to the group.

A follow up to the Road to Scardale thread.

A shortish session that introduces a new PC, Mobuis. Mobius and Eithne get off to a flying start but soon enough due to coincedence (never seen that before in an RPG!), they decide to at least temporarily join up together to undertake the journey to Highmoon through the old dwarven tunnels.

They get inside and things take a bump for the worst rather quickly!

A direct continuation from the previous Road to Scardale session.

The PCs manage to battle off the wave of nasties with little injury, before carrying on and finding a hellish blood bath of a scene within a small stone room.

Taking a bad route in the old dwarven tunnels, the PCs end up in a dead end, where a powerful undead predator stalks and attacks them.

Before fleeing, they manage to rescue a young halfling cleric of Yondalla called Yamilia and as they then flee, she tearfully recounts a story of horror.

The first log is a small session in Highmoon, RP chatter and nothing else much.

The second log is the longest session to date. Videl is ill and Johan has run off alone to Scardale. The group meets a friendly Elven ranger on the road to Scardale, he asks for their help dealing with a few orcs.

And as things usually do, their help dealing with the orcs ends up in a huge battle in the middle of the Archwood by ancient ruins. It's a fearsome battle between zhentish soliders, a zhentish captain and a deadly zhentish wizard.

A two part log with a change of DMing.

With Johan gone, everyone decides to head to Scardale anyway, the journey was swift and once there, decide to take a little rest and pass a year or two.

The session also introduces a new PC, things start well as she meets the group, but swiftly plumet at an amazing rate.

The second part of the log deals with some of the downtime in Scardale, while Videl is away in Tantras, Mobius and Eithne get a visitor who happens to have some rather distressing news for them.

The first log continues the session for Mobius and Eithne, except Mobius leaves shortly. Eithne then begins to look for information about Redall the poisoner and eventually meets face to face with him in a rather difficult situation.

The second log continues the introduction of the new PC, Asha. The PCs meet with a seductive Red Wizard of Bane and accept the job. After retrieving the small black horse statue, the PCs are attacked by two wizards and a deadly spell battle commences bringing wide-scale destruction to Scardale!

The group now united flees the destruction and wrath of Scardale and travels north into Cormanthor and in search of Myth Drannor, the elven city of fable.

Whilst trying to successfully cross a rapid, fast-flowing river, the group are plunged in to instant danger by an unseen enemy. Seperated by hundreds of feet and deep rapids, the group faces the most dangerous attack of all their travels yet!

Having avoided the deadly attack, Videl stumbles upon Asha and Mobius near death. After recovering a little they group set off in search for their lost companion, Eithne.

Daring the river yet again, Videl foolishly enters the rapids fully clothed and is soon swept away and under, all the while, their deadly foe still out there in waiting to reveal himself.

Making a truce with the blind drow, the PCs set off in search for Eithne, eventually discovering her tied and gagged in a hole with nothing but a dead rat for company.

After resting a little the PCs set off out, stumbling across a strange archway in the woods, which opens to them a quiet and peaceful safehaven.

The group then, after everything they've been through of late, relax a little and get to know each other a little better.

Still at the Selune Harper Refuge, Videl finishes learning a new and leaves the hut to discover everyone but the other Elf, Asha asleep.

They have a chat for a while, which goes well considering their past history together, but things eventually break back down.

They're in Myth Drannor! Crazy wizards, giant Hydras, traps, water beasts, more traps and liches! Maybe I'll write it up better, later.

Leaving the Lichs' chambers, the PCs began to look around underneath Myth Drannor. Soon enough they find a little light, one way turns out to be infested with giant spiders, one of which nearly gobbles up Videl. The group is then chased by stout heavily armed figures, on escape, Videl is again attacked by a huge white-skinned beast!
